Tributing African Culture would be a bad idea, because of the very recent and very strained relations between white and African cultures. It would have to be creative directed and helmed by Africans to come off as respectful and tasteful.
Art I don't have a problem with. People paint their bodies different colors for art all the time. People are painted black with absolutely intention of reference that skin tone. Like when people tried to call the Dunkin Donuts ad from Korea racist, a mess. People forget that US African American history is not world history.
the entire world is anti black even the place where there are the most black people (Africans bleach their skin a lot) so that "Asia doesn't have the same history as the US" **** doesn't really work out
So you people honestly don't see anything wrong with that photoshoot and think it's perfectly okay for Beyonce to paint her face black and mock Nigerian culture?

Asia has no history of minstrel shows or blackface

Blind stanning is so frustrating.
How was the culture mocked? Did she perform some songs about how they're all stupid and love watermelon? Did I miss something?
