My most used starter ever. Even though I like Infernape a little more, I always found Empoleon much more useful during playthroughs. It could take a hit much better, and deal just as much damage. Obviously competatively Infernape is better, but Empoleon is by far my favorite starter ever for a simple playthrough of a game. Slay with that Steel type.
Battle Use: It's a reasonable Special wall with good offense with it. Mostly used in UU, but it's got its niche in OU as well. The reason is that it's the only bulky water type with access to Stealth Rock. other than that, it sadly has weaknesses to many common types, such as Ground, Fighting and Electric.
