lol everyone is going around singing drunk in love and referencing watermelons and surfboarts.
right. Saying the album was a non-event is so far from the truth. It's probably the most relevant release in the past years
no one is talking about PRISM, ARTPOP, or any other album at the moment
Here's the thing though. She's so adamant on fighting the industry mold and she succeeded in defeating it with this release. But what about next time? Will she be dropping surprise albums from now on?
no. shes a smart businesswoman and knows that it wont work again. you can only be surprised once

She can't really beat the strategy that she pulled with this release though. The only thing I can see her doing to top this era is release another album, complete with videos...for free. And send the entire album to radio at the same time, essentially letting stations play whatever they like the most. A mixtape era
Hmm well most of my friends are straight white men, that might be why I never heard about it.
False. Everyone heard about it by the next morning. It was plastered everywhere...I mean...everywhere.
Now, whether or not they spread the word is another thing altogether.

Gagz doesn't have a ballad in her whole discography that can stand up against this. This was Legend's debut single, while she was on an indie record label, and whose video was made by herself. Some label puppet huh?
