But since they are given platforms by magazines, websites etc to share their opinions, they must be a bit more valuable? no?
Sometimes not really, a lot of critics rush through albums to give a quick review, are paid off by labels, or give bias based on general public opinion or what's happening in the news (like the Bangerz reviews).
I love Crash! Watched it earlier this week. While I don't feel its BP win was completely deserved, I've never agreed with the sentiments of it being the Academy's worst-ever BP win.

I'm a very skeptical person of pretty much everything I read so i'm not very quick to agree with people
But I like to read reviews because writers have a good way with words (and are just smarter lmao) and maybe notice things about albums I may not
Critics are a joke specially music critics although I don't really pay them much attention. I've read plenty reviews in Rotten Tomatoes and most of the time the scores they give don't even reflect their reviews like WTF
