Yeah I don't really get the complaints tbh. Shaki's enunciation in English isn't always the BEST, but it's certainly better than many native speakers' People just do the most because they know English isn't her first language.

Roc Nation has been great at increasing Shakira's celebrity power, signing her onto big contracts with The Voice, T-Mobile, and Crest/Oral B. It's the music part which seems to be off to a weak start and it's hard to tell whether this is all intentional (and some big plans will be unveiled soon) or if they just believe that Shakira and Rihanna's names will do all the selling.

I still love CRTFY but overall I think her music has gotten weaker over the years... honestly, as she has used more and more co-writers. I don't understand why she thinks she needs them. She has written almost all her biggest (and best) songs by herself or with one longtime collaborator.

i dont keep track of which hits she's written on her own but i will say i dont think her music quality has declined. imo her three best albums are Fijacion Oral, She Wolf, and Sale El Sol (in that order) (controversial i know). so to me she's been pretty consistent

Im happy that Shakira is getting endorsements but I don't want that to be the priority because she's a musician. Its to early to judge them but maybe they think because Rihanna's singles are radio-friendly they don't need to promote and that's not Shakira's case at all.

I actually don't even consider any of Shakira's albums better than others. Her work is so different everytime that its impossible to compare She Wolf to Pies Descalsos or Laundry Service to Sale el Sol. I also don't think her music has declined, Im not really that into her earlier work like some of others. What worries me a little is that she said that now she was doing something new by singing songs that SHE DIDN'T WROTE for the first time

Edit: I find it impressive that you love Sale El Sol considering its extremely different music from your other faves in your sig.
