Beyoncé has 17 Grammys because she's the biggest woman in pop & RnB.
She, in most cases had the most successful (and IMO best) song in the RnB categories in which many of her wins are from.

This doesn't diminish the credibility of her awards. If anything, it just highlights the poor reception most RnB music receives since 2006 onwards.
