I've seen 3 different predictions from publications and they all think JGMAR is going to win. They don't usually predict Pink to win either. Lorde is new and it's not unusual for new artists to get snubbed.
Especially when that new artist keeps slamming the industry and the people in it. Lol.

Yup. Also the fact that the song is featuring 2 artists is an advantage for move votes too. I am comfident she will walk out with two Grammys this year.
As for those who expect a simple performance, I think you will be disappointed. She will find a way to make it epic. Cuz she is P!nk and she can.

Don't want to jinx it, but I still think she wins Pop Duo for sure. There's a chance for SOTY too. If she doesn't win anything now, she never will. I mean, everybody supports her now. Huge era, huge acclaimed tour, Woman of The Year, Billboard is basically licking her ass 24/7, Grammy commercial & performance... She finally gets the recognition and critical acclaim she deserves (well, she deserves to rule the world but ), they'll pat her on the back for all this.
Just look at the Academy Awards. They'd give an Oscar for past mistakes and sentimental reasons... and NARAS has both with Pink now.

I too really have a good feeling she would win SOTY, especially after Glitter. I mean she was the first to confirm a Grammy performance (in the Billboard article and the interview was done in Oct) - meaning they have asked her even before then to perform.
Voters might not give Lorde the Grammy since she's too young and they tend to be more conservative. I don't see the others winning.
But I guess even if she doesn't win all I need is another standing ovation. Not just front row people but the entire arena.

Same Love cannot be ruled out. Macklemore & Ryan are nominated in all of the "big four". They (like Lorde) performed at the Grammy Nominations concert and they are such ass kissers. Go to the GRAMMYs YouTube channel and they're all over it.
Pop Duo is possible, maybe. But Get Lucky...

Exactly. Get Lucky and Royals are her biggest threat in her categories. Hopefully Get Lucky will sweep some other awards so they give P!nk the Pop Due. But SOTY? I doubt it.
But at the same time, I also agree with Liafen, NOW OR NEVER.

But I hope we're clear here; GITA performance 2010 > 20 Grammys

In Hear This, A.V. Club writers sing the praises of songs they know well—some inspired by a weekly theme and some not, but always songs worth hearing. This week: In anticipation of this weekend’s Grammy Awards, the five songs up for the 2014 Song Of The Year award.
Nearly two decades into her career, P!nk still seems like a renegade who’s party-crashed mainstream music. She’s the pop star with whom you want to close down a bar or do bad karaoke; that she’s also an arena-filling radio darling feels like a victory for weirdos everywhere. Perhaps that’s why P!nk’s more vulnerable songs aren’t the usual treacly fare. In fact, “Just Give Me A Reason”—a duet with fun.’s Nate Ruess, who also co-wrote the song—is a surprisingly nuanced look at two people questioning the stability of a relationship.
The song starts with P!nk feeling troubled after overhearing doubts murmured by her significant other while asleep. Ruess then offers reassurances that her “head is running wild again,” but then also slips in his own concerns (“You used to lie so close to me”). With these troubles out in the open, the duo spends the rest of the song figuring out whether to stay together or let a good thing go.
“Just Give Me A Reason” could easily become overblown (and overbearing), but the song smartly offers an unadorned sonic foundation, just pirouetting piano and some simple percussion. The chorus too is basic but effective: The pair sings the melody line together, intertwining their voices in appealing unison. This arrangement is a literal sign of solidarity that underscores the relationship is salvageable, that the pair is “not broken just bent / And we can learn to love again.” It’s a pragmatic but sentimental approach to moving forward past obstacles, making it one of the more realistic portrayals of relationship turbulence in recent times.

Hm, AV Club is counted for MC, isn't it? Hope this a sign of a Grammy win.

SONG OF THE YEAR (songwriters): "Just Give Me a Reason," Pink, Nate Ruess and Jeff Bhasker; "Locked Out of Heaven," Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine; "Roar," Katy Perry, Lukasz Gottwald, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee and Henry Walter; "Royals," Lorde and Joel Little; "Same Love," Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert.
FEKADU: I think the real competition is between "Just Give Me a Reason" and "Same Love." Pink's duet with Nate Ruess, who won this award for "We Are Young" with fun. last year, is a rousing number and a win like this for Pink is deserving after she's impressed us year after year. "Same Love," though, was a social anthem and more than a year after it was released, it still provides the chills when Macklemore begins his verse. Who am I kidding? "Same Love" wins this.
TALBOTT: History tells us sometimes the hits win. Sometimes the winner has become an anthem in some way. And sometimes it's a right-field entry you may not have expected. I think this is where The Recording Academy shows its love for progressive, open-hearted messages and rewards Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for a song that was a lot of all three.

If Get Lucky was seen as superior, it would've been nominated SOTY over JGMAR. Logic dictates that JGMAR is the likely choice for Pop Duo since it was nominated in such a high category.
