Okay, fine. I still think MJ, Tina Turner, James Brown, etc. were on par with her. But do not act like your main question, hence the thread title, wasn't about performing. Beyonce is a great entertainer but she isn't the best or even close to it at this point in time

She excels at being good to great at certain things and then doing them at the same time. She's a good dancer, she's a great vocalist. But I certainly wouldn't say she's the best in either category

let alone the best at doing them both at the same time

Do you really think she has the technical ability in either category to be better than some of the Broadway greats? I mean really?

As an female performer of pop music, she's close to be the greatest. Madonna has the better shows, Janet the better dance skills... but Beyoncé is the complete package. Her concerts aren't the most creative, but she is so intense that it levels things up, she gives her all and it's pure talent exploding all over.

Let's not. Overrated, even in her prime. If we're talking vocal ability AND dance, then there are only a handful of people on Bey's level. She's explosive on stage.

Michael, Prince and James Brown all sung live and danced at the same time. Beyonce's choreography is not as demanding as the aforementioned so of course it's easier for her to sing and dance at the same time. Michael did intricate choreography while also singing live. I've seen dozens of girls (and guys) do Beyonce's choreography and pull it of effortlessly and that says a lot. Very people can do what Michael and James Brown did as well as they did. Beyonce's a great talent but some of you need to stop overestimating her and putting her above people who came out decades before her. Compare her to her contemporaries and leave it at that.

Basically this. Beyonce benefits from being the latest out... she's had the ability to be inspired by all of the artists we've mentioned. She is not on par with them creatively and her dancing ability is extremely overrated. Anyone with 5ish serious years of dance training could do what she does. That was not the case with the people we've mentioned. You guys are doing the most for no reason. And nice title change

Okay i understand of how you think those people could be better than Bey. And i know she isn't the greatest of ALL TIME, i do however think she's the best current performer. And of course i've seen MJ and Tina. The other two, i have not.

All time i wouldnt say since i dont know about the past performers/musician/artist but for now Beyonce is definitely 1 of the best

P!nk is more well deserved applause for her contemporary dances while Gaga is more known with that wild dance in freaking heels

I agree, but you also have to remember the fact that she's dancing in heels the whole time. I know the males wouldn't be dancing in heels, but this does make up for her "less demanding" dancing. It makes it harder.
