Nah. New York City is one of the entertainment and media centres in the US. It makes sense for people in the entertainment industry to have a place there because they will spending time there. LA is also a city where entertainers have a place for the exact same reason. In Country Music Nashville is also a place to be. That's why Taylor moved there in the first place, because it is advantageous for her career.
So Taylor will soon have bases in all three media centres in the US and a summer home in RI. If she is going to have a base in Europe, then London is a logical choice. The UK speaks English and London is the centre of the UK music and entertainment industries. All the major UK media are in London and as a city London is always on the tour circuit as it has some of the biggest concert venues in the UK. The music industry is also very big in the UK and Taylor now has made connections with other UK performers and music media.
Taylor buying properties in New York and London is nothing to do with Jake or Harry. It is just for career benefits. Why does Harry even have a place in London? It is why actors move to LA from all over the world. It is a career move.
