OT: This thread is....pointless. Most artists see a downfall that is considered "diminishing" to their legacy (I.e. Whitney, Michael, Elvis, Good ol' Madge, etc) It is only natural that after her tremendous success that Mariah would change both as a person and as an artist - that's called GROWTH - and people would still want her to remain the same artist singing the same AC songs. That doesn't magically erase or "diminish" her legacy. That doesn't overnight change the FACTS that artist like Leona Lewis, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, etc became singers because of her or were insipid by her to become vocalists (their words, not mine).

Is it one that is simply an attention ***** who constantly posed naked for the sake of "artistry" and was essentially average or below average in many field besides performing? Or is it a person who is a renown vocalist and is below average in other areas such as dancing and performing? To you it may be the former but their is no standard way to measure "artistry". Mariah writes her music, produces her music, etc which makes her an artist no matter how good or bad of an artist she may appear, the point is - she is an artist. Fortunately, not everyone needs to show their unshaved ***** to be a real artist.
So I know Mariah and Justin Timberlake were meant to collaborate on Charmbracelet, so can someone tell me what exactly happened? Because I read somewhere they have beef because Justin pulled out or whatever....somebody enlighten me why the duet didn't happen?
