These companies also employ plenty of gays and gay friendly folk. The person who served me at Chick Fil A the other day was clearly gay. Would he be unemployed if everyone refused to go to the restaurant? Who knows?

I just wish people would stop trying to make gayness either a disability or another minority race. What we do and who we marry should be a matter of personal preference. Both sides, imo, need to remember that we are humans first.

You know, you can say something which will be seen as racist or homophobic and not be a racist or a homophobe deep down. I believe repeated offendings are what makes someone racist or homophobic. Everybody makes mistakes, saying something ignorant and which can come off badly to some people should not give you the racist or homophobic tag permanently.

As for the "he said he's not a homophobe" in that one tweet, I'll sorta give you that, since I mastered context clues back in the fourth grade (which was around the time he was born). But his following sentence "People can love who they want, it's none of my business" is NOT showing support for the gay community. I know plenty of people who pull the whole "love the sinner hate the sin" who use this logic to get around gays - as long as you're not gay around me we're cool.

That's not supporting gays. That's barely tolerating gays as people. Which is why people are rightly suggesting he spell it out loud in big massive letters (in a press release written by someone other than Liam) that he's not a homophobe. Saying it's none of his business is a very churchy way to dance around the issue without saying you're against homosexuality - it makes it seem like you're tolerant of their existence. And that's it.

Do I think he's homophobic? Probably not. Do I care? Not really. Should his Twitter account have a new password? Obviously, until he's mastered basic grammar.

Majorit of U.S. republican politicians use it for traditional marriage (even though there are some republicans and democrats who used it last year as meaning that they have a family stay together)

Well,people like me don't support such laws,growing up in Nigeria I was raised to believe in a male\female house hold,but on the other hand I have come to accept and understand that as much as it's natural for a hetrosextual to believe in a male\female house hold,it's also natural for gays to aspire and fight for their rights to start a family of their own without anyone hounding them for it.
I stated clearly that Gays have a right to start a family if they so desire,regardless of what I believe in,so I don't understand why some people her are attacking me for my beliefs when I'm not attacking gay people.Can't we just all get along and agree to disagree without any resorting to name calling?
