Am I the only one who doesn't understand how Madonna got a cover of "American Pie" to go #1 in allegedly like 20 countries? I'm just listening to it and I kind of don't get how that even happened.

I don't understand it either, the fact that it's one of her biggest international hits is just I think she was just riding off the success from Ray of Light and 'Beautiful Stranger' (which was another big international hit)
