He probably doesn't, they obviously don't have much time on their hands. But still I feel like the way he just brushed it off by saying "people assume things" and "people can love who they want, it's none of my business". Considering some people were offended he could've made a bigger effort. I don't think he's a homophobe but he doesn't seem like the gay rights type either.
