i personally love the rock aspect of the chorus and I don't think the chorus is a detriment to the song (perhaps to its success) or that it in any way *ruins* the song. BUT that beat at the beginning is just so flawless that I bet the song could be even better if they had kept that vibe throughout instead

Good point, the chorus is a bit off-putting because of the loud rock sound. IDK who came up with this but I saw someone renamed the song "Selective Memory" which I love. Wish they could change the title to that

I kind of agree too. I already like the song and the chorus doesn't bother me at all, but for the GP less guitar would've been better. This song was too risky to release, hopefully it grows on people.

As I've said before, the chorus is my favorite! I just enjoy it especially at the end.

I disagree. The problem with the chorus is Shakira's vibrato which sounds annoying and its out of place, Rihanna could have easily done the oohhh ohhhhh and it would have been perfect.

Also my only problem with the rock aspect of the song is that the guittars sound...fake or I don't know how to say it but when songs don't use real instruments but they use computer generated instruments that's what I think they did. The live version will fix this probably.

I like the chorus the best though... The verses are nice too of course, but I love the song for the chorus. The biggest "problem" is the "bridge" if that's even a bridge, or a problem.
