This sometimes happens with breakout smashes. Songs like Blurred Lines, Call Me Maybe, and We Are Young had early excellent digital starts, and radio quickly jumped aboard.
Say Something, as a recent example, has shown great staying power just through the exposure of radio for the past month or so. People kept saying that it would free fall after The Voice and the performances, but the song is clearly being well received by radio listeners and the remainder of the GP.
it's like one of those elevator music or febreze commercial songs you cant get out of your head 
Glad to see they're both in the top 10 but they better leave Katy alone.
