nobody said they were made for fun, like any song they were made in hope of being hits, but again, that doesn't mean that there was no passion in making them. you're really being a bit ignorant in your thinking that artist can only make music they are passionate about OR make music that is supposed to be succesful. but you can stay being delusional, Lana can stay making quality music and Lorde will be forgotten this time next year so everybody wins

Since then she had one moderate radio hit, I'm not sure if they still remember her Lorde is on the radio non-stop, there really is no comparison (at least in North America).

Yet her album is on it's 101 week on BB 200, I get that you are trying to shade and be cute but you're just making yourself look like an idiot.

Lana is a very good album seller. You can sell albums and be unknown, and you can be a poor-album seller and be well known. 4.5 million albums is still 0.06% of the world population, yet it actually IS a good sales number. Lana though perhaps not as well known, is the kind of artist that attracts album buyers, AND has developed a quite loyal fanbase.
