Y&B is quite clearly better than most nominees and since the Oscars are supposedly so much better than the shammys i expected them to go by quality. Just saying.
Not that it applies in this case, but the Song category tends to be a bit wacky.
It's an outdated holdover from the era when there was more than one successful musical every 2-3 years.
