Lolita was a major inspiration for BTD, but her take on it was relationships with older men. That imagery fully manifests in Ride. When, I say that she doesn't infantize her sexuality, I mean that Lana doesn't downplay or exploit her sexuality, she just expresses it for the audience even though it is hard to watch or it seems "wrong" at times.
She doesn't put on airs that she's a pure virgin (although she plays with Mother Mary imagery often) and she doesn't hypersexualize herself and make sex her main selling point. unlike some of these uninspired pop gals.
