I've been living in a stundent dorm for the past 4 years and most of the stuff that's on the charts gets played by straight guys
Katy, Bey, Pink, Kesha, Rihanna and even Britney (but very rarely)
Gaga gets no love from us anymore though, and I'm not even trying to hate, just stating facts
people listen to everything even if they lie and tell you they are only here for certain genres and artists

Idk where Gaga's appeal came from I never really heard her music in the Gay Clubs I went to, yet she has a huge gay following on social media from what I can see. I've yet to hear her music at any parties at the college I go to either

Rihanna is obvs the biggest out of them all, literally everyone likes/loves her.
Beyonce is respected but she's still more for the females, always will be.

Yeah, I mean her image may be "gay" compared to Rihanna's but her music still seems to get a fair amount of love from straight black guys (certainly compared to the other girls, at least). And now she has the whole hipstappeal going for her.
