BEYONCE actually costed more to finish the album. She had to pay 20+ songwriters (more money for the ghost writers), bring them with her on the tour, shoot all the music videos hiring the most expensive directors.
Gaga barely made a promotion compared to what Katy is doing. Most of Gaga's promo is on award shows and commercials wherein she gets paid instead of her paying for the spots. (ARTRAVE wasn't even paid by Interscope)
