5. Its funny to see how Lorde's first single ended up being the worst off of her debut album. Really this album is a short and sweet container of all the things a teenager would think but wouldn't be able to express. Her lyrics are surprisingly true for her age and that almost urban influence in her music is unique for the alternative genre.

4. Unlike many who were patiently waiting for Sky to release her first full album, I was more indifferent. I thought she had potential but I wasn't convinced that I'd end up liking her album this much. I love the edge to all of the songs. The pop/rock feel is just so natural for her voice, and the feeling of the album isn't try-hard which it runs the risk of being. Really the songs are just awesome.
Favourite track(s) - Love In Stereo, Night Time My Time, 24 Hours, I Blame Myself
3. Beyonce basically came crashing in last minute with this album. Its arguably the most honest and unfiltered we've seen of her and I greatly respect her for that. The production is basically ***flawless all through, and its refreshing to see her innermost thoughts come across. The topics that she writes/sings about are things that you don't see get covered in today's pop realm, and I appreciate her for taking that risk. I don't stan, but if I did, I would certainly stan for her. Absolutely my second favourite female artist of all time, and this album solidified that.
Favourite track(s) - Mine, Haunted, Jealous, XO
2. Kacey has spent a lot of her career writing for others, her first solo album is one of the best debuts in country genre history. With sweet simple lyrics that ring true in every aspect, she has established herself as a class act songwriter. Her melodies roll off her tongue and into your brain, and you can't help but feel like everyone of them is an instant classic. There is nothing even close to being filler on this album, it all serves a strong purpose. I sincerely hope that she sweeps the Grammy's later this month, even if it means beating Taylor because she deserves it.
Favourite track(s) - Back On The Map, Dandelion, I Miss You, Merry Go 'Round

1. They're the only artist/act to place three times on my singles list, and naturally they place high on my album list! Absolutely my favourite album of the year, I knew it from the first time I heard it. Catchy infectious pop tunes, sweet lyrics, awesome vocals and production that excels most of mainstream pop. They're basically the coolest, and I'm seriously considering seeing them live later this year. Truly the best album of the year, PLEASE GO LISTEN TO IT!!
Favourite track(s) - Falling, Forever, My Song 5, Don't Save Me, basically the entire tracklist.
