He does. Basically this is what you need to know about Harvey:
He and his brother Bob started a company called Miramax (named after their mom Miriam and dad Max, aww) in the '80s. They had their big breakout hit with Sex, Lies & Videotape in 1989, which became one of the most successful and influential independent movies of all time by grossing $25M. That was unheard of at the time. That movie is like the father of modern day "art house" cinema.
They became known for their ability to take big risks and release very noncommercial movies like The Crying Game (a love story between a male soldier and a male transvestite) into big box office hits and award winners. They did this by being very aggressive, ruthless and sometimes shady campaigners. They took chances on new filmmakers and started the careers of big names like Tarantino.
They are behind some of the best, most acclaimed, riskiest movies of the last 25 years. And also behind the Scream franchise! Hugely influential.
Chris Messina has really had some great material lately too, with the Aaliyah dance and the nude photos.
