These lists usually get like one person right MAX per year.
Billboard put out a similar list last year and their list was as follows:
- Olly Murs
- Cassadee Pope
- HAIM
- Joey Bada$$
- Alt-J
- Jhene Aíko (Who's also on this 2014 list this year. Second time's the charm?)
- Sky Ferreira
- Charli XCX
- The Lone Bellow
- Timeflies
- Trinidad James
- Robert DeLong
- Gold Fields
- Twenty One Pilots
Of these, only two of them even scored moderate hits in the US (Olly with "Troublemaker" & Charli who's featured on "I Love It"). HAIM, Sky, and Charli managed to score decent amounts of critical buzz and HAIM got to perform on SNL, and...that's it, right?
Popcrush made a list this time last year too, and it included
- Sky Ferreira
- Little Mix
- Skylar Grey
- Emblem3
- Bridget Kelly
- Becky G
- Kid Ink
- The Saturdays
- Jessie Ware
- 2NE1
- Nikki Williams
- Zedd
- Vita Chambers
Same for this list. Only Zedd ever really went anywhere on the US charts.
We're probably only going to ever see like two of these artists again. I know which two I'm rooting for.
