I'm not saying I agree with the following, but:
I recently read somewhere that SOME African-Americans might be more prone to steal because of the ancestry. Africans sold some of their slaves (who were thieves, rapists, etc.) to America, and since personality is 50% genetic, some people say that rape, theft, etc. can run through generations.
Do you buy it?

It's because most black people in America are poorer in comparison to white people in America. They come from harsher neighbourhoods, thus them doing harsher things.

Exactly. And parents should really try to do a better job of sheltering their children, but one can only try in certain situations.

Usually the parents who have bad kids are not any better. Bad behaviour mostly comes from parents/family members.

No. Genes don't determine affinity to crime. Crime and laws are societal constructs. Genetics doesn't operate that way. It has almost everything to do with environment.
I can tell you I have never been tempted to steal anything (except music of course  ). But many of my black friends have...and not because they were black, but because their family situations were bad.

I think that movies like "Madea" and ANYTHING created by Tyler Perry are horrible depictions of black people. The sad part is, black people ACTUALLY LIKE IT. And white people think that this is how every black person is. When someone says something about the movie "Madea" I really want to slap someone.
Madea needs to have a heart attack so she can't make any more movies.

One thing I've noticed tho is a large portion of them choose to wallow in their misery instead of rise above the challenge. I always hold on to the hope that we can become a model minority like the American Jews or Asian Americans one day...with our cultural flare intact of course (sorry, but American Jews and Asian Americans are kinda boring).

Statistics are always presented in one way to deceive the viewer.
Fox News used that population/murder statistic in 2012 and got clocked. Using the entire population is a number skewer in general.
It's like how the government benefits statistic seems one way, but is actually the other. Meaning when someone says 40-50% of black people receive EBT/government benefits compared to 30% of whites; that information is being presented to you in a misleading way because 40-50% of our population is still less than 30% of theirs.
Technically they should be the poster children for EBT, but the media of course doesn't do that.
I actually made a thread about statistics and the way they're used to lie to us everday. I found an article with the same name and posted it in the lounge. Apparently Americans aren't as fat or as rich as statistics say.
