I've seen that argument used, but it's pretty useless. Not having a black history month wouldn't make black history less underrepresented. If anything the exact opposite would happen.
The amount of ignoramuses you'd see if you Twitter search, "white history month" or "straight pride" will have you clocking people for HOURS
Those people are pretty ignorant. This is so controversial, but I once dragged the HELL out of all of my Asian friends once.
They were pissing me off and teasing me for being black, and I said:
"If it weren't for blacks standing up for rights, do you all think that you would be anywhere other than a (withheld)? Without the Civil Rights movement, you'd be drinking from the colored water fountain."

Exactly. I'm not going to lie, I find racist jokes funny, but things like this is when it gets too far.

I'm not saying I agree with the following, but:
I recently read somewhere that SOME African-Americans might be more prone to steal because of the ancestry. Africans sold some of their slaves (who were thieves, rapists, etc.) to America, and since personality is 50% genetic, some people say that rape, theft, etc. can run through generations.

Smaller sample size for one. Second, what the media chooses to highlight. To them, black people aren't entertaining unless they're being stereotypical.
