I was already sitting but OK. I wasn't trying to shade or compare the two at all. I was just saying that Beyoncé is more of a local artist than a global one.
I agree with a little bit of this. Beyoncé is not that much of a global artist because her genre isn't very global. And I'm not trying to shade or anything.
But she is global. Completely dominating in the US doesnt change her successes outside of the US its not like she cant sell outside America
It doesn't even matter if the album sells 8Mill at this point she's sold fairly well for someone that was counted out, and her album is heading for double platinum which is a rare feat in this day and age.
Her music is mostly R&B which has never had the same pull as Pop music on a WW level. Her voice was made for R&B so it's unprecedented that no other pure R&B acts are still having the same type of success as her after all this time.
This is not true at all. The whole world has always been here for R&B. Whitney, Alicia, Mary, Toni, Mariah, etc. all have had massive global success with R&B. The genre is not an excuse. Pepcé is a pop star.

I agree, but it just depends if you want to count actual numbers or proportions. Numbers-wise, you could say that 500k is great outside the US and that she's dominating. In comparison, proportions-wise, she sold 4/5 of her album in US.
