Blackout was a total mess.
I think Britney's problem is that she releases way too many albums. There's no anticipation. She might have been able to pull it off in early 2000's, but people will only continuously buy albums from an it girl like Rihanna.
She needs to build hype, and release more like JT. Beyonce has 5 albums since 2002 which is reasonable.
The main part of Britney's career is over (she won't come back and have like 4 #1's or something) but she can still hope to sell decently in the future. Even if her next 5 albums flop, Britney will still be remembered as an icon.
