Nicki did theatre so she's always been theatrical. Even when she wasn't popular she was against the grain. I think when Nicki, Katy, Gaga got more famous they had more money to be kookier.
Even Gaga's outfits were basic at the start of her career.

When you think about it Gagz career has really had no impact.
Her music? Who in their right mind has copied that?
Her style? Onika in the beginning but then she said "no mama".
The whole BTW "be yourself" thing? Firework and ****in Perfect were both released before it.
Her career truly is the definition of a fad.

Pop singers are all fake/label creations so they SHOULD read reviews because it's all about chart success.
But REAL artists shouldn't read reviews.

lol stop. She was by far the most influential popstar in 2009-2011. Her flopping now doesn't change that.
