And because going 3x plat or more in the US is not foreign to her does not mean she is any slouch internationally. Check the receipts from even her debut, gold, plat, & multi-plat in various continents. But she can pull her weight in the US too. Going 3x plat in US & 2x outside is not anything less than selling 1x US & 2x outside.

Beyoncé is actually rising on several charts. She debuted at #5 in the UK and now she's #2. She is still #1 on iTunes in over 30 counties and Top 10 in over 80. Katy isn't #1 in any country.

Katy is selling well, but not at the rate as Beyoncé. That's my point.

I don't understand what's wrong with being huge in the US. Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams are nobody in the US, so are they more global than Beyoncé? Why does everyone on ATRL want their local successful artists to be succesful in the US if that was the case? Why do I see threads like 'Would this smash in the US'?

Nope, the point was you can't really expect an album that sold 1million copies in the US to sell 1million copies in Brazil as there are many factors that won't make that possible, but okay sis still love the hive like xo
