I Am...Sasha Fierce was her first material nominated for AOTY and that's because it had 8 successful songs (on pop, urban and both). 4 was snubbed; it didn't have any major hits + it was her first album to not land her a general field nomination (her first two albums got ROTY nominations). I'm sensing a pattern here.

CBS Films expanded Inside Llewyn Davis this weekend to 729 screens after playing in limited release. It’s earned $7.9m as of Friday, so it will out-gross A Serious Man ($9m) this weekend or soon after. Like Her, this one has much to gain from Oscar traction. These are two of the best films of the year, so I hope they get what they deserve.

Yet another hit movie.

All of my friends really want to see "HER." Someone told me about it and said it was a movie they'll probably get on DVD & watch it again and again because it's that good.

That's kind of like me and 500 Days of Summer. Such a great film.
