real stans" to me that pretty much means you're a "fake fan" for not liking any new sound. I guess it depends on who reads it.
Would you appreciate something you don't like? If the new record would be completely different I guess most would stick by at first but then fade more and more away.

her whether the music is good or bad in my opinion
No one is a fake fan for liking her pop music. Of course one can respect her musical directions but if one doesnt like the music, is that a fake fan? 
Whether her music is not to your liking or not, you should still stick by her and support her regardless instead of ditching her for a back up fav. No matter what genre she is making, it still HER. The same songwriting, the same messages, just different instrumentation and producers. Whether you like the genre or not, it's still her.
