The radios in my country play Venus more than Applause lol

I would die if Venus ended up as a huge hit, it's one of my all-time favorite Gaga songs and I can really imagine people singing and dancing to it at the clubs and stuff

Interscope (and I) would be fuming tbh. "Venus" follows the weirder artsier concepts of "Applause" more than "Do What U Want", and if "Venus" struggled a bit, it would've at least had the initial album release promo. "Do What U Want" is way more instant and radio-friendly, and a performance with R. Kelly/Christina at the Grammys would've been CLASSIC.

Oh so you're an insider that knows what was going on behind the scenes with her manager? The same manager she had in the much hated BTW era btw, the era that everyone says completely destroyed her image and public view . She didn't doom anything, and if you think her firing her manager has anything to do with the success of this song you're only deluding yourself. Your honest opinion is pointless tbh.

it has everything to do with it , I'm all for her being more free and getting her ideas across and delivering what she believes in but she needs professional help to steer this era because as everyone can see she isn't doing a great job at it by herself right now ...

Why are you so hostile ? just accept the fact that she'd be better off with a manager to steer the ship with her and actually try to revive this dead era, and I say this as a fan, she's in no shape way or form able to handle it all on her own, and it's just going downhill starting from the sudden second single changing to the overly delayed music video to the running to LM.com to complain ...

Gaga really needs to clarify if there is going to be a video at this point or not. the song has probably already peaked so i doubt even the video could shoot it to the top 10. Interscope is promoting the Xtina remix now so that's probably what screwed the whole video situation up bc they're probably refilming it with Xtina in it. At least that would sort of justify it.

I hope she's right with getting back on track this year with this era. Venus as a 3rd single would be great tbh. It's catchy enough and reminiscent of Dance Popga. That and the fact that she already had video plans for it will make it much less messy than this + any other future single she wants to release.
