I don't think anyone around her are yes men.
I think she definitely has ~opinionated people around her.
But yeah... I think if she couldn't challenge the industry and break norms, then she probably would have retired.
It's just disheartening that music used to be fun and exciting 16 years ago and now she's bored with it. I hope we get at least 5 more albums out of her. I'm loving the direction and artistic evolution she's going towards. And I'm glad she's stopped trying to be so G-Rated with her music.
