Lorde lacks emotion, but it works for her especially within the content of her album. She hits heavy social issues for young adults but she just rides past them as if they are irrelevant.
Lana however does show emotion which is what attracted me to her to begin with. You feel a sort of sad desperation and longing listening to Lana.
Everything from the music, videos, Lana's style, and the album cover scream future classic and with five million albums sold, the world agrees that Lana Del Rey is better than some tumblr fad
A small part of me wants gaga to die this year because her music just sounds so CLASSIC but it will never get the respect it deserves unless she perishes
Fashion!, DWYW, Applause, Gypsy and Dope sound like classic records
Then after her death the monsters could all buy Marry the Night(sounds like a career defining song) and make her the ONLY artist to ever not have a top ten single
Why would someone who loves hip hop love Born to Die? Because Lana likes blending hip/trip hop beats with strings? What kinda blanket statement? Actually, it would be just the opposite. Hip hop's intensity is the polar opposite of Lana's dreariness.
I'll literally never understand it. If you support her so much buy her album. More people reblogged that picture than the amount of copies Warrior sold between Canada, Australia, and the UK.

I agree. I think that "bored"/"dead" voice of Lana's adds to her songs mood/atmosphere. Born To Die has a few duds but most of the album is flawless. So many highlights.
I didn't really like the Paradise EP except for the masterpiece "Ride". 2nd best video of the decade behind WFL.
