Lana however does show emotion which is what attracted me to her to begin with. You feel a sort of sad desperation and longing listening to Lana.

Why would someone who loves hip hop love Born to Die? Because Lana likes blending hip/trip hop beats with strings? What kinda blanket statement? Actually, it would be just the opposite. Hip hop's intensity is the polar opposite of Lana's dreariness.
I'll literally never understand it. If you support her so much buy her album. More people reblogged that picture than the amount of copies Warrior sold between Canada, Australia, and the UK.

I agree. I think that "bored"/"dead" voice of Lana's adds to her songs mood/atmosphere. Born To Die has a few duds but most of the album is flawless. So many highlights.
I didn't really like the Paradise EP except for the masterpiece "Ride". 2nd best video of the decade behind WFL.
