Anne Hathaway found herself in a scary situation when she had to be rescued from a forceful rip while swimming on holiday in the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
The 31-year-old Oscar winner, on holiday with husband Adam Shulman, screamed for help and a nearby surfer came to her rescue, onlookers told RadarOnline.
Anne injured her foot in the water, but her husband tended to the wound with a first-aid kit. He also used the most clinical feel-better technique in the book: kissing his wife's toes!
Or as TMZ suggests, Adam may have been sucking the toxins out of Anne's scraped toe.
According to E! Online, Anne appeared "in pain" throughout the ordeal, but luckily her jewellery designer hubby was there to make it better.
The Les Miserables star got on with her holiday and seemed happy afterwards. Phew!
The scene in The Silence of the Lambs where the killer has a fake cast on his arm and pretends like he's struggling to push the couch into the truck and asks the girl for help and then abducts her...that's scary. Especially knowing it was based on a real-life incident. Be wary of strange men who act like they're injured and need your help! It's a serial killer trick!
