I really hope she scrapped the idea tbh. Or at leaaast change the name of the album. Call it Funpop or something as an EP.
Onion Girl is a real name. She mentioned it in a radio interview (as a song that didn't make ARTPOP)
I'd rather hear songs like Brooklyn Nights, Temple and Tea though.
Not hating because I do genuinely like ARTPOP, however I have and always will hate the title lol and if shes going to release an EP or a "part 2" in any variation id rather her change the title as well lol and have like a new theme or something. Start fresh with conviction, I feel like this era hasn't had the same amount of conviction her previous eras had.

Exactly. At least it's doing good on radio, so people will actually know the song exists. Even if they don't choose to buy it, they will still know it happened. OMG I'm getting Beyonce "I Was Here" teas

Honestly I feel like some part of her resents The Fame+Monster's success a little bit, like how she straight up said she could make something better than Bad Romance or how if she wanted to she could make another Just Dance in a second, it always struck me as her indirectly admitting that she goes out of her way not to make something similar to those albums because she knows thats what people want from her.
But maybe thats just me overanalyzing and being a stan lol

That's probably true. But she needs to understand that when people ask for another Bad Romance (or Poker Face), they're not asking for a song that sounds like it. We already got that with Judas. They're asking for another song on the same level as Bad Romance. Or at least that's what I mean when I ask for that.

Well if she made another Just Dance I feel like it would get dragged because shes made such a loud effort to avoid simplicity. Simplicity is what she needs yet shes ultimately made it her enemy.
TFM Era was filled with flaws, delays, and drama just like this era. The only difference is that none of us paid attention to any of it. It was far from perfect, imo.

Am I the only one that thinks Sex Dreams, ARTPOP, and Do What U Want are as good as anything on The Fame Monster though? Because they're all exactly what I want to hear from her.

I feel like i've always said this exactly.
There were flaws within The Fame Monster-era but everyone liked her and the album so much at the time that all people remember are the good things and at the time they focused on the good things when they happened. Nowadays any little hiccup is considered her downfall and people either totally ignore the positives or they trivialize them.

Yep, exactly, and if we focused on the positive instead of the negative then this era would "slay" too. The music is good, the interviews have been good, Gaga's been fun, and the performances as of late have all been great. But somehow because she wore a weird outfit a couple of times, this era is a mess.

But she has already created several songs on the same level as Bad Romance. Scheisse, The Edge, Aura, and even Gypsy are all on that level. IMO, most people mean they just want another big hit they can brag about, but that's not something she can just do.

Sure, TFM had many delays, but I think we didn't care because, either way, we knew Gaga would deliver something that would blow us away. Bad Romance and Telephone were delayed because of editing and she made sure to update us when they wouldn't be on time. TFM era's flaws seem kinda minuscule in comparison to some of the problems with this era.
I was never unsatisfied with the music on ARTPOP. It really is my fave album of 2013.
For me Venus, Gypsy, Sexxx Dreams, G.U.Y. just as examples are really true Gaga songs that slay.
My problem is that this era seems not to be planned well: the booklet could have been much better, the single change, no video, no discounts during christmas, no performances on night time talk shows, etc etc.
I will try to blame it all on the management change and I really hope she had time over the past weeks to gather herself and her team and plan out ARTPOP RELOADED.
