I can't believe some nurses here talking about not giving people medicine. That's absolutely awful. You will lose your nurses license the moment someone finds out. My mother is a CEO of a nursing home and they'll randomly pop into hospitals and check their charts and they know if you pull crap like that. Have fun wiping old peoples butts because that would be all your qualified to do anymore.

Chill sis, your being disrespectful now. I'm also a nurse and I condone everything said before. From my experience, I do think that nurses are actually more aware than doctors about pain control and the patient's medication. And we often dont get the recognition and credit that we should, but then again, most of the nurses I know do it because it's their passion.

This may be no "secret", but nurses often need to call the patient's doctor and ask him to review his medication chart, because some of the medication (or the interaction between multiple drugs) can be life threatening.

Nasty Perishables make a customer more likely to go somewhere else to shop.

(Not really a secret,BUT) Customers choose to shop at places based on emotions as opposed to logic.That's why BOTH Publix and Harris Teeter could get away with charging Ridiculous Prices

(Not really something I learned from working at Kroger,but) Some of Walmart's low prices are simply just loss leaders.They jack up prices when you least notice

Brands "buy" amount of time they are on sale (Ex:Coke buys Three weeks and then after those 3 weeks are up,Pepsi Products go on sale).They also but shelf space in the store too.

Kroger owns JEWELRY STORES,Standalone gas stations, Turkey Hill Ice Cream and tea,Hypermarkets, and they have their own wireless service like Walmart's StraightTalk

and when he's like running down the numbers of cost for the services provided to the client he often adds things that aren't even there and they never find out

I recently worked at a certain department store as a seasonal employee and one secret I can share is that if you were nice and a pleasure to deal with, we will try and use any of the 15% or 20% off coupons we have that might work on items you were purchasing. If you were rude or impatient and a mess, we won't try any of the coupons. At this point you will have to ask if we can try a coupon that you brought, but if you forgot your coupon, we're not using ours to help you out.

Probably not too uncommon, but Sears is full of mice/rats. They **** on all the stuff in the stock room. We had a Justin Bieber cardboard set up that the mice were all over, and then some teen girls came in and were kissing it.

I work at Hollister Co and the way we stereotype is beyond true. When I see kids walk in for group interviews, I already know which ones will be hired (the more attractive ones).

Also, don't even bother asking for us to check for a size in the back. Sure we'll go back there, but we won't actually look, and we'll tell you we don't have it.

I've also been told to follow black and Hispanic customers around the store because they look suspicious.

A lot of the customers are nuts though and all of us have gotten into fights with them at least once. The soccer moms are the worst and there have been times where they would get into fights with one of the female models and try to jump over the counter and hit them.

And if you lose money in the store, ITS MINE. I found $300 in the fitting room last year. A customer called asking me to look for it but I told him it wasn't there.

Well the coffee/bakery shop I work at is ran by an angry Palestinian who's family I am close to. He is one of the cheapest people I have ever encountered in my life though...As well as a dick but as long as you curse him out back he shuts up.

We have pita sandwiches that come with sides & every single one is usually expired. He buys containers of potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad etc from Walmart & tries to say it is homemade and then sells it when it has been expired for a month.
Our "Baked goods" like Muffins & croissants are from Walmart, which also usually are moldy. Most of the workers don't check things so if a customer doesn't realize it has mold on it...good luck.

Once a person came in asking if we had any full cakes and he went in the back and found one that he had bought awhile back and tried selling it to her. Problem was that is had mold all over the side so he figured he would scrape it off and attempt to sell it to her still. She told him she saw the mold he took off and all he said was "It's fine, see? there is none!".

I did some work experience in the History Dept. in my university when I was 16, and still in school.

Basically, highly paid career academics are competitive, whiny, self-centred, egotistical and immature jackasses, and will generally do anything to irritate the other Doctors/Lecturers/Tutors/Professors in the university. I served tea in an inter-Dept. budget meeting between History and Geography (because they're both in the same building) and one Doctor told another that they ''have one foot in the grave and the other in [their] mouth''. They also constantly bitch about students and a lot of them look down on the university's maintenance staff and student representatives.

So if any of y'all are in university and are intimidated by these old, wise professors, just know that despite their university degrees and salaries they never really leave the playground.

But I do have to say, the ladies working in the office with me were lovely. And even though it was work experience, they gave me 250 euro at the end of it, and now I'm studying Histoey in there and they scrubbed up my attendance for me when I was sick even though I didn't have a doctor's note.
