You just agreed with me that it's a marketing ploy! So, that withstanding, when people laud them with having broken the sales record, it has to be acknowledged that they have 4 separate products circulating under one name. It's significantly less impressive than it would be if there were only one version of the album.

Hmm.
Singles sales do matter to stay relevant in the industry, I think the GP still has a lot of power over single sales. Fan girls bulkbuying the singles don't really show/affect the charts.

SM is mainly 100% about money, if you aren't making them money, why are you in their company is their opinion.
You see it in how overworked all their singers are. Especially in Sulli of F(x).

However, you can not say all the big 3 are about money because lets be real CL "underperformed" with The Baddest Female and YG is still letting her out there performing it. He also kept Ku Hye Sun whose income is $0 (have a source is you want it) paying for her projects and films she produces etc.

JYP i'm not an expert on so I can't really go in specific but the only one who seems relevant and loved is Suzy but the others dont' make much...its simple about the joys of being an idol and not about money and protecting JYP's teacher image.
