I'm not even gonna get into her just singing about love and romance - she doesn't.
4. Applause was playing it safe. Her label made her choose it as a lead single because it was radio friendly.

2. You don't even believe that. We all know the songs were made to appeal to the younger gen. I mean look at her tour for the album for crying outloud. Candyland theme? Yeah, I'm sure adults filled up the place..
3. Which is why everyone was saying it'd peak at 50M when it was released correct? But when it peaked at 130M the excuse was it was too safe
