Hence, why I said I don't know if it's a fair comparison. On the contrary, though, The Monster may be #1, but it was #1 before the video even came out and hasn't received an ounce of promo except for a preview of the video on Monday night football. Beyonce may not have promoted and had a surprise release, but the release in itself has garnered her a lot of hype and exposure. I just thought with it being a visual album that there would be more views. I mean the album's selling (with videos included), but still...

She's doing fine regardless, but I was interested to see how the way she released would help or hinder her in certain aspects.
