Yes, and even the uk chart had to specifically point out that the discounts helped boosting its sales in its debut week.
The UK chart did not HAVE to point out anything they just did because this era is the 'bash Gaga era'. PRISM was heavily discounted on multiple music retailers - in fact I bought the standard edition for a friend at F.Y.E. for 5.99 the day before Xmas. Katy. The Queen of the 69 cent discount and 5.99 albums
WOW. So many Bey fans were convinced that Frozen was overestimated and Bey was underestimated by HDD's initial predix. 35k is quite a healthy margin of victory.
I believe this makes it the 2nd-biggest weekly film soundtrack sales of the decade.
175 - The Hunger Games w/Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift
165 - Frozen w/Let it Go by Idina Menzel
146 - Twilight Eclipse w/Heavy in Your Arms by Florence and the Machine
137 - Great Gatsby w/Young and Beautiful by Lana del Rey
136 - Les Miserables w/I Dreamed a Dream by Anne Hathaway
105 - Twilight Breaking Dawn w/It Will Rain by Bruno Mars
Has BEYONCÉ officially outsold 4 in the US? The Queen slaying in a dead period for sales. Great numbers for both Frozen and Bey. The gap between 2nd and 3rd position tho.

Lies from the pits of hell. It was 7.99 and since I had downloaded We Can't Stop earlier this year it was like 6 something.
Deluxe or standard? Unlike artpop or prism, it didn't shoot to the Top 10 of iTunes but the other two were discounted to $6.99. Can't wait to see how the albums sell next week. iTunes discounts are over
And last week was probably Beyonce's last week at number 1. This week frozen will still be holding, the next Bruce release and will probably hold on for two more weeks. Grammys will probaly put the AoTY winner at number 1, february new stronger releases. Unless they're performances planned she won't be going back to the top ....

No not really. Everyone was hoping. Completely different.
I hope Billboard gives Beyonce couple of more thousands sold.
I do wonder how much she'd be selling with Amazon and Target. Would there be no change - the costumers purchasing digital/or at Starbucks etc be buying a physical? Or would she have gained more buyers?
