I'm not saying it is a bad thing at all. It's nice that he believed so much in his kid's dream that he gambled his career to make it happen. But in the process, they struggled. It wasn't perfect -- they were cramped in an apartment, Mathew and Tina separated. Mathew didn't just quit his job, start a label and make DC's success materialize out of thin air. They made serious sacrifices. My point is, this notion that it was this perfect cakewalk is just dumb and not true.
