Paranormal Activity 1+2 and the Blair Witch Project were among the worst movies I''ve ever seen

I wasn't expecting The Great Gatsby or anything, but I just expected it to be at least somewhat okay. Maybe it's just the inner film enthusiast in me, but I am so sick of jump cuts being mixed together with lousy special effects and intentionally terrible cinematography being sold off as horror.
But you're right, I'm expecting too much from these movies haha.

In my opinion they could have toned down the comedic side a bit. There were parts that were mean't to be scary that just came off completely hysterical.

That's probably my only gripe, I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the movie.

I mean it was announced last April... So they should at least be casting for the pilot already.

If a semi-big name gets casted that's the next time we should hear some news.

I have the feeling nothing will happen. There's probably a higher chance of getting a Scream 5. The MTV series would probably kill the movie franchise all together.

I do dread the day when Scream gets a remake though, someday it will happen, it's inevitable.

With the way horror is being treated in theaters now I wouldn't be surprised if it's in within the next five years.

Either we will get number 5 or the remake. How many more years can the paranormal fad last?

The only ones I class as horror are 1, 2 and 4. 3 wasn't scary at all, it was like an episode of Scooby-Doo. Screams chemistry is using both comedy and horror and bouncing them off each other. Some people don't class Scream as horror but they were for their time. I mean, that one death scene in 4 of their friend who lives next door was brutal. I can see why they aren't really that much of horror movies, its mainly the violence that gives it that horror appeal.
