when i worked at red lobster, our trifling boss would stock the bathrooms with $1 ajax dishwashing soap instead of hand soap since it was more expensive. apparently, dishwasing soap to substitute hand soap is a common practice smh

The other interesting thing I noticed is that customers aren't aware that if something is the wrong price they're supposed to get it for free. But if you don't say anything we'll just charge you for the regular price instead of giving it for free.

Anyways, I work in a ratchet grocery store where customers physically fighting with employees and other customers is the norm.

Not really a job but I was a TA for a couple teachers, and they would literally talk to me about their students and they would DRAG THEM BY THEIR ROOTS.

They also never gave two ****s about fill in the blank homework, he'd just tell me to make sure there is something written down and give them full points. I would give 10's to students I liked if they didn't turn their homework in too, since they rarely check their grade books.

umm no, it's not courtesy to repeatedly tell a lie, and a lie is different from an excuse. i do wish people would just say no, so that we don't have to call them again. it's tiring

The store I worked at lied to the CEO or something of the western division of Wal Mart once when she came in for a walk around. We had co-workers leave their positions and work at random parts of the store when ever she would be walking by, they would rush to that section and pretend that we had enough employees for the entire short (we were around 60 short).

Don't use the family restrooms. They are cleaned the least, and its the most common places where people have sex. I've cleaned blood from heroin users, seamen, coke, other dirty needles I have no idea for what, and even period blood once.

The Lost Prevention in our stores wear regular clothes, and they'll look like normal shoppers.

But, TBH Wal Mart treats their customers better then their employees. Woooo lawd the management stories.

My 2nd job was at McDonald's. Mostly everyone knows about how the food has timers that beep when it's no longer fresh. But I worked nights, and when the machines would beep, we'd turn them off, but leave the food there, especially the fries.

Then when the lone car came through, I'd toss the old fries back in the oil before giving them to the customer. The logic being that they'd crisp up again, but really, they only became very soggy and extremely SHINY. Didn't care though! lol

Also, more than once, I saw employees pull just tossed food from the garbage can to serve to a customer who ordered it right after it expired. Chicken strips and a few burgers if I remember correctly. Mess.

From telemarketing: The "Do Not Call" list literally does not exist. It's just something we tell you to make you feel better. That being said, I was always nice and just put people that brought it up under "disconnected number".

From retail: The "tag color sales" at low-end stores (thrift stores, etc) don't really mean anything, we just ship all the remaining clothes back to the warehouse in the middle of the week to be retagged and sold again at full price from another location.

Also, the majority of revenue from so-called charity shops just ends up in someone's pockets upstairs and nowhere else.

Because people don't understand that if you have more than 12 items I can't take them on the lane meant for 12 items or less.
