Also each member of staff is allowed to refuse service to anyone they want, so if somebody is rude we can refuse to serve them and pretend it's because they're "too drunk".
Also if people come in to hand in CV's for a job, we usually just throw them in the bin or read them and laugh

How were you hired then?

I work for T-Mobile and if you're rude and/or annoying we will refrain from offering you the best offers, and stick you with more expensive plans. So unless you're well informed prior to coming in, you'll be screwed over. If you're nice though, we really do try our best to find something that works for you and that will also be inexpensive.
I also know some people who have abused the access to the information they receive and use it for their own personal reasons. For example, having the digits of someone you find attractive.

As a retail employee, I can tell you that we do judge you when you buy certain things, we do talk about you behind your back when you're rude to us, and we do remember your faces.

I remember working at Marshalls in College - as a part-time job - and some of my co-workers giving side-eyes to people who only bought things off of the clearance rack.

Oh my GOD!
I have 2 major retail jobs.
American Eagle: We are told really, to not help the customers. We are suppose to serve as "brand reps." So thats why most of the time we are just standing around. Because we are just suppose to be there to make the clothes look good. I'm actually a personal stylist, So I can help people more than a regular sales associate. I'm a Shift Lead, so I'm pretty much the manager of a section when I'm there. I always tell my associates to help the customer, if you see someone coming towards you, do NOT walk in the opposite direction (like we are told to)
We fire people that get hired for seasonal, based on their looks.
The little walkie talkies we have? Yeah people talk about the customers over those, that's why you'll randomly see a sales associate laughing when you walk by.
My other job is at Apple, but I do that from home, so I'm my own boss!

My family runs a clothing store, so I can tell you the wholesale prices for any of the brands we carry Those $68 Levis you just bought? Costs us like $27 per pair we order for stock, which means it probably costs Levis like half that to make a pair of jeans

That's funny, because my mom (well, she's mixed with Puerto Rican, so she's light), Always tips a MINIMUM of $10. We had a $13 bill one time, and she still tipped $10.
I always get on to her about tipping so much, So just then responds with, "Shut the hell up, it's how they make their money.

What???? Only a ratchet ass bartender does that.
Besides, unless the patron is piss drunk already, aren't they watching you make the drink? I know I always do.

I used to work at the fresh meat section of a Wal-Mart grocery section a few years ago.
All of the fresh meat you see packaged as if it were sliced in a backroom butcher type place, actually arrives already packaged, in big card board boxes. The thing is, those sell-by dates (stickers) are added by employees, individually to each package, according to the sell-by date's on the box itself.
But some of the (many) ratchet wal-mart employee's routinely fail to rotate the backroom stock. The result? Pulling out entire boxes of meat that are either bad, or about to go bad, ignoring the box's sell-by date, and stamping each individual pack with the new sell-by date established by the sticker gun.
The meat usually still looks fresh on top, but when you open the pack at home, the underside of it will be GREEN.

At my store regarding shoplifting, as soon as you go through the registers without paying the security guard can stop you because at that point it's clear you have no intention of paying. Every store is different.

Everyone should take lessons from your mom Never skimp on tips kids, unless you actually had terrible service.

Do NOT **** around with us and be rude in certain places where they sell coffee... ( not gonna say the name ) I WILL and so will they... Spit in your coffee or make it decaf instead of original and with skim milk rather than whole milk.

What the hell? Did you do retail 20 years ago? All we do is go on the cash register: customer service > damage > scan item > damage slip prints > write reason > tape on item > put in damage section...?

Oh one thing though, if you're trying to return/exchange something, and you do NOT have the receipt.
Do not be rude to me, I WILL tell you I can not do it, when all I have to do is put a "N" where it asks for a receipt.
