That was probably the best Hilary concert. I wish i could've been there
Brazilians are incredibly passionate! I think she cried during one of her last shows (Rio?) because she was so overwhelmed by their support. I think she might've cried during her goodbye speech in Melbourne, Australia, too.

True! Brazilians are so passionate, supportive and so loud! Hilary's concerts in America, they're so boring...
I've got so much nostalgia watching these tour videos again!
Has anyone seen this fairly decent performance of The Getaway live?
Her vocals are so good.
By the way, do you think Disney had any input in regards to her using a backing track? I just found it a little weird that she was comfortable singing live during the Most Wanted tour, but miraculously became self-conscious of her voice during the Still Most Wanted tour/her weight loss period. Yes, her voice was slowly changing as she was coming into adulthood, but I think there was more to the decision than that.
Discussion Question:
Based on the song titles that we know so far, what song are you the most excited to hear?
-Better Days
-Tearing Down Walls
-Outlaw
-Breathing Room
I am ready for Better Days and Outlaw.
Excited for all of them! I can't choose.

And I also love watching her old interviews & performances! When I watch her tour videos, I get sad cause I never saw her live! So jealous of all the lucky fans that attended her tours.

Yeah I mentioned that a few years ago about how Hollywood Records/Disney Channel didn't want her to suddenly start singing live on TV and possibly ruin her image at the time.
I remember that The Getaway performance! It's funny because at times she would completely go off pitch, but for the most part she did great. The bridge is my favorite part of this performance. Her slayage.
I'm so happy I got to go to two Hilary concerts during the Dignity tour. It made up for missing her live before that. Although, damn it I wish I had gone to see her live during the Most Wanted tour. She was her most energetic during that one.

She brushed off the 2004 MTV New Years Eve bash mishap like a true Queen.

She's very good at controlling her lower register, imo. If she had taken more singing lessons to control her pitch during that time, she would've sounded almost identical to the album.

I was going to say that. She does fine with her lower register but struggles a bit with the upper register. Hopefully she's been consistent with the singing lessons to help control her pitch.
And yes! Her face during that VMA performance. For just a second, we saw a very pissed off Hilary but then she was able to control her emotions and end with a smile.
I never understood why she sang live during most of the most wanted tour, often along with the track, but then lip synced the entire still most wanted tour, she really doesn't need to lip sync.

My guess? Whatever was going on with her at the time that helped attribute to her weight loss, affected her vocals. She performed at about 40% of the energy she did for Most Wanted and lip-synched just about every show completely which was a completely 180 from the tour prior.
Let's not forget, her voice was pretty hoarse for almost that entire era. Gone was the sweet and bubbly voice she had before. She regained it about halfway during the start of the Dignity era.
I was thinking that as well, also I forgot Capitol Records that could very well be an option. At least we know she's not going with some label nobody knows about.
Oh my god, I've actually never seen these tour videos so I've actually never heard her truly sing live before. She has some issues but it's way better then what I feared. And to think she probably sounds even better now. I so need her to get that music out.
