I already addressed that scenario of a girl slaying in all aspects. It's virtually impossible.
Gaga did it, Britney kinda did it back when she wasn't brain-dead (she just missed the critical acclaim but her other slayage made it up for it). It can be done.
When are we gonna have another global era were an artist slayed hard with every single thing and there couldn't be no ifs or buts
- Media
- Album sales
- Singles sales
- Tour
- Critical Acclaim (GRAMMYs and stuff)
Gaga was the last one if I'm not mistaken (TFM). Adele could do it if she wanted to tour the world. D!ck was close but the media doesn't care about her. Beyonce, well, not a single Top 10 since forever. The only one that could come close of doing it again is Rihanna.
What about Shakira w/ Oral Fixation? That's the only one I can remember that had a successful tour, a huge US [HDL] and Latin [La Tortura] hit, and probably some Latin GRAMMY's [Grammy's are Grammy's ]. And I'm pretty positive both the English and Spanish albums received positive reviews.
Don't know about media. But who really reports on pop girls releases? BEYONCE being the exception, ofc.
She won't. Even if she gets at some point a Top 10 hit in the US this era (), I was talking about a true WW slayage, not a Demi Lovato/Selena Gomez sized Top 10 hit.
No, she didnt start that. She just was lucky enough to be the first viable solo act of that movement. I think her musical legacy most likely lies in Blackout and its contribution in popularizing electropop.
I strongly disagree .... Britney's musical legacy will always be based solely on OOP and BOMT... She hasn't did anything remotely polarizing to those two releases Toxic maybe the only thing to come close ..
Mmm hmm this is true but I'm tryna be fair in defining Knee her legacy. Britney set it for the Disney/teenage gurls. There's no doubt those hoes worship her. Not just Miley either. She set a blueprint for them just like Janet did for her.
