It is such a shame that this is happening to such a talented girl. The fame really did ruin her, no one should become so big and so quickly. Fame is powerful thing, and Gaga got too much power, too quickly. Now she doesn't know how to handle it when that power is slowly, you could argue rapidly, slipping from her grasps. There will be no "new beginning" or "fresh start," because everything so far this era has been of her doing. She can't blame her record label because I am sure they advised her against involving herself with people like Marina, eating an onion and thinking it's "artistic." I mean maybe she really is/was just stressed out from her record label and pressured to always top herself since she set the bar so high with The Fame Monster era. She needs to go back to simplicity. And let the GP pop their ******* and the straights can bop a biT.
It sounds like she was pissed at Troy (and others?) for not being there for her as a friend when she needed support (injury etc), but instead demanded more from her (like re-write ARTPOP to be more commercial) and pushed her to hurry it up as he/they wanted the album out ASAP. Resulting in them interfering with the creative process to quickly make it GP appealing - i.e. chucking Too $hort/Twista/T.I onto an urban track, getting RedOne back to finish Gypsy (remember that was unfinished and uncertain till quite soon before release), getting her to pick DWUW back off the cutting room floor and add R.Kelly, and probably getting her to work with Will.i.Am. She resented all that, but creatively liked the output enough to go along with it and got psyched by the prospect of slaying with all this supposed GP-friendly stuff. Then he/they rushed her into making the video and getting ready to debut/release for the VMAs, perhaps encouraging her to compete with Katy to bulldoze the competition (which didn't work). Then came the DWUW/Venus debacle where she said the label didn't force her, but didn't say her management didn't. It was obvious that they jumped at DWUW because they thought they had a smash on their hands. She probably went along with it for that reason, but she clearly had some resentment judging by the constant Venus performances and lack of DWUW pushing.
It probably climaxed when Troy and her fought about the state of the era. She felt she was losing creative control (which would explain her going so extreme with a lot of the visuals - which she DID have control over) and he wanted her to follow his lead for optimum success (only after the $$$ as per her comments). He may have even thrown ARTPOP under the bus as sub-par despite his interfering and she got even more pissed off that she had tried to accommodate but it/she wasn't good enough (as per her recent message). They parted ways (originally we thought she fired him, but maybe he walked?) and left her in the lurch about to release an album. The era then went **** up because she and her inner circle tried to organise the promotion schedule et all, whilst she also was trying to sort out the creative.
I feel it would explain why she was and is so obsessed with Venus because I think it goes beyond the song and is almost entirely about her proving that she can do it on her own using a song that she both wrote and produced. She wants to make it a success to show Troy that she is self-made.
The DWUW video was probably rushed and the result just isn't good. She's left with a campaign in pieces and has since been trying to put it all back together and get a game plan in motion.
@toanythingtaboo It seems like the whole thing was carefully planned out until the injury happened and ****ed things up. That event has had a huge domino effect and may have lasting repercussions for the rest of her career.

This all makes sense and is exactly how I thought it went after reading her letter.
I just hope she's getting a new choreographer bc richy's moves are
#JusticeForBoomkack
Richy... you mean the guy who choreographed every single song since 2008? Some of you need to do research and find out what Boomkack did and didn't do despite what she claims to take credit for.
at Gaga effortlessly clocking the fans who claimed that she was stupid for firing Troy.

I suspect a lot of this is true. I'm here for a fresh start, let the slayage begin.
