Asylum is the only time they could built the characters from start to finish. Ryan Murphy makes everything for a plot twist or a watercooler moment and even though his team still couldn't pull off a perfect season, Sister Jude and Lana Banana are flawless written and performed characters.

The other seasons have none of that even if they are easier to watch. It's an addictive show but not great television by any means,

I think it's gonna last for quite a while, though. The ratings and the reviews keep getting better. Coven is easily the most successful and the most acclaimed season yet.

Gonna start watching soon.

Reminds me of the relationship between an abuser and a battered woman,
The husband (Gaga) keeps abusing (flopping, failing, bad execution) the poor woman (monsters), after the woman threatens to leave, the man(Fadga) blames the abuse (flopping) on something else (Emma, managers, Madonna, the moon) and a change (future flopping) is coming. Then, the woman(monsters) decides to stay once again only to suffer more abuse (flopping)
