oh that was the gist of it, like a gladiator match to an extent
but then people started getting crazy and doing death threats or some mess. It was classy when I joined until about late 2011 tbh.

yeah, ATRL 2010-2011 was the best.

I still to this day wonder why i still linger around here now. So much has changed (for the worse). Every album release during that period felt like a major event and the RT thread was the best.

If it wasn't for certain members still posting i would probably be long gone. Too many try-hards and messy middle school posters on the forum now.

'10 and '11 were just so epic like sure there were some try-hards and messy members but idk it seemed more fun and carefree whereas now everyone wants to be edgy to get noticed and the regulations are a mess.

A little perspective is needed. All I see is 09-11 members saying that times were great back then.

In a few years 12-13 members will be talking about how much better the forum was back in the day.

No, 2010 - 2011 ATRL was everything. I only would come once in a while as a lurker because I had next to no interest in pop music. However, it always looked fun and interesting and it was funny.

2012 - 2013 ATRL and the lingo got too mainstream so now it's all dry and not as funny as it once was. Also too many try-hards are trying to stand out.

2014 ATRL thus far is the perfect example of how far into the pits the ATRL community is getting as ATRL gets more popular.

Once the lingo started, it kinda went down hill because the people that joined after lurking and seeing all the lingo abused it. Idk, I found ATRL rather enjoyable in late 2011/early 2012. Then came all the extra rules and regulations.

I'm pretty much saying what has already been said. But I'm tired and rambling.

No, ATRL was actually better. Actually, I take that back. A lot of things were better years ago. 2012 and up has been the pits for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and everything internet related. Too many people who shouldn't have access to internet now have it and are making a mess of themselves online with this new freedom.

I digress, ATRL was better in 2010 - 2011 and many people who were ACTUALLY HERE for it would agree.
